SyncWear is a Wear OS application used to connect Wear OS watches and iOS devices. It acts as the missing link, delivering notifications, calls, image syncing, and contact management for a truly seamless experience directly on your wrist, utilizing native Apple ANCS protocol.
Tech stack
The challenge
Building a reliable, low-latency connection between iOS and Wear OS was the primary challenge. Integrating natively with Apple's ANCS for instant notifications and implementing Bluetooth HFP for call management required deep low-level optimization. Additionally, transferring photos via a secure local HTTP server required a robust architecture without third-party cloud dependencies.
